As summer approaches, the need for some fun in the sun gets greater! We've compiled a list of public beaches in Calvert County for you to soak up the sun:
Bayfront Park in Chesapeake Beach
Located off of Route 261 right before you enter into the township of Chesapeake Beach is Bayfront Park. There is a cost to get into the park if you are NOT a resident of Chesapeake Beach. Please visit their website for exact pricing for residents of Calvert County and non-residents.
Breezy Point Beach & Campground in Chesapeake Beach
There is a fee to visit Breezy Point Beach & Campground regardless of residency. The beach and campground is operated by Calvert County Parks & Recreation. Visit their website for more information regarding pricing to access the beach and camping.
Calvert Cliffs State Park in Lusby
You've gotta work to get to this beach. Located in Lusby at the end of a 1.8 mile hike (shortest route) you will find this awesome beach! The park does charge $5/vehicle. Visit their website for more information regarding camping as well.
Flag Ponds Nature Park in Lusby
There is lots to see at Flag Ponds, including the beach. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy while your kids play in the water! Fee is per vehicle, $4.00.
North Beach Public Beach in North Beach
Enjoy the beach and a little playground. There are fees to utilize the beach depending on residency. Please see their website for more information.
Solomons Beach, Solomons
At the beginning of the boardwalk by across the street from Our Lady Star of the Sea, there is a tiny little beach. Ideal if you are taking a walk on the boardwalk and would like a place to hang out for a little while. Kids can swim in the area, but there are no lifeguards so swim at your own risk.
