1. Go bowling - During the summer the bowling alley is hosting a "Say No to Drugs and Yes to Bowling" program. Every day during the summer the "Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Bowling" program provides children ONE FREE GAME of bowling (shoes are discounted to $2.50). Additional games are only $2.50.
2. Head to the library - There are 4 branches of the Calvert Library and each one offers a lot of events over the summer.
3. Explore a museum - There are two neat museums in the northern part of the county - Chesapeake Railway Museum and Bayside History Museum. Details of when they are open and events held at each are on our calendar.
4. Go to the beach - lots of options to play in the water all over the county! Some beaches require payment, so make sure you're prepared for your visit.
5. Get some ice cream - We love ice cream in our house over the summer! Our favorite is Cone Island in Solomons. Check out our list of ice cream shops in Calvert County.
